I was curious if you have had this issue with XenDesktop 7.1? I’m getting about 1MB/s file transfer through the Citrix Receiver from a locally mapped drive. Using Receiver 4.1. Being a newer product, I had hoped the fixes described here would have been included in XenDesktop 7.1 however perhaps not.

Bart, Any update to your Jan 27th. post related to RO3 and picadm.sys? We’ve been struggling with this same issue for over a year now with no fix. Have Citrix engaged however not received any private fixes. We are at RO3 and has not resolved itself.
File version – 6.2.7500.32 Date – 11/18/13

Any updates? we are HRP3 and have tried 3.4 recover (unreleased update 3) with the same issues. Most of our issues are with CDrom transfers. Disk/Usb transfers do not seem to suffer so much.

Would you mind sharing your case # so I can inform the person I am working with that someone else has the same issue.

Well… HRP3 contains a version of picadm.sys that causes some systems to BDOD on reboot. Apparently, Citrix has a new version in the works again… so, stay tuned!

Receiver 4.0 just came out. I see significant improvement on my XA6.5 R02 systems. Whats the deal with those of us who still have 6.0 farms where just “upgrading” isn’t really an option?

Andy,

no receiver was released until now that resolves this issue. HRP2/FP2 for XenApp 6.5 will be lauched in June 2013, together with XenDesktop 7. XA650R01W2K8R2X64055 is already superseeded by XA650R01W2K8R2X64075.
HRP2/FP2 should include this fix, and I’m actually working on a little follow up article in regards to developments in FP2.

any news on whether a version of Receiver has been released that resolves this? And also I see HFRP02 has been released as a beta. Any ideas when the public full release will be..they say Q2 2013 but when will it really be? and are you confident it WILL include the fixes from XA650R01W2K8R2X64055, to resolve picadm.sys issues..
